Healthcare Candidates Facebook Search

In our recent blog post – Finding The Best Way to Advertise Jobs Online – we talked about social media recruitment resourcing as an alternative to paying for adverts on job boards. We knew this was something that would interest a lot of healthcare recruiters, but the subject gave us the idea to take things further. A lot further. We’re now moving onto the specifics of searching for candidates on social media, and we’re starting with the king of all social networks: Facebook.

Due to its enormous size, and its wealth of data on locations and professions, Facebook can be a great source of potential healthcare candidates in given areas of the country.

Notoriously, however, searching Facebook for candidates is complicated. Let’s say you want to search for a Pharmacy Technician in Bristol… Sounds simple, but try the obvious route, and you’ll see it’s anything but…

Enter “Pharmacy Technician Bristol” into Facebook’s own search box, and unfortunately, you’re likely to see a lot of recruiters pitching their vacancies, but little if anything in the way of actual Pharmacy Techs. Assuming you don’t have technical knowledge, searching for your Pharmacy Technician, your Dispensing Optician, your Pediatrician, your Dentist, your Occupational Therapist, your Radiographer, your Psychiatrist, your Physiotherapist, your Chiropractor, your Radiologist or your Cardiologist on Facebook, is likely to prove a frustrating experience.

But if you’re currently in the midst of that frustration, and you’re in the market to recruit any of the above, you’ve come to the right place. We’re not going to bore you with convoluted technical tutorials. We’re simply going to give you the goods. This very page offers a targeted Facebook search, which will drill right past all of the recruiter’s ads, and isolate the potential candidates.

You must be logged into Facebook for this routine to work.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE!…

We should stress that when you enact a search on this page, you will be transferred to Facebook. It’s therefore important that you’re familiar with Facebook’s Data Policy before you use the functions on this page. We at Team Locum do not collect the data you enter when searching, but we cannot be responsible for the policies of other sites. You may want to see our own Privacy Policy for further details.

THE SEARCH FUNCTION IS SUPPLIED “AS IS”, WITH NO GUARANTEES MADE AS TO ITS RELIABILITY, OR ITS COMPATIBILITY WITH YOUR COMPUTER OR DEVICE.

Team Locum is not in any way affiliated with Facebook.

USING THE SEARCH

To use the search, simply select your chosen profession from the drop-down, then type a location into the Location box, and hit the Search button. Don’t forget that you’ll go through to Facebook when you hit Search, and will need to backstep your browser if you want to come back to this page. Alternatively, bookmark this page in your browser, and simply select the bookmark any time you want to return.

Searches can only find the information candidates have entered, and can only find candidates when they’re there. Searching for counties rather than cities, and vice versa, may help you discover candidates who would not otherwise show up. In some areas, candidates are in very short supply, so you may only get a few results – or even no results at all. We’ve included these professions mainly because there are results in larger areas. If results are very limited in specific areas, try searching over a wider area. “England”, for example.

If you’re a healthcare recruiter who’s interested in the above search function, but you don’t see the profession you need in the current selections, feel free to comment or get in touch. Please bear in mind, though, that we are ourselves are a recruiter, and that adding some professions would conflict with our own business.
