Finding a job can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. Whether you’re fresh out of college or looking for a career change, there are plenty of resources available to help you find the right job. Here are some tips to help you in your job search.
Define your job search criteria: Before you start your job search, take some time to figure out what kind of job you’re looking for. What kind of work do you want to do? What kind of company culture do you thrive in? By answering these questions, you’ll have a better idea of what to look for in your job search.
There are plenty of job boards available online that can help you find job openings in your desired industry or location. Some popular job search engines include Indeed, Glassdoor, and LinkedIn.
However there it is always difficult to gauge what kind of jobs are going to be on these job boards, you wont necessarily be able to tell the company culture, whether there is weekend work and all these little things that add up to make your working life what you want it to be.
There is also the ever prevailing question of the salary, a lot of companies wont post the salary in the job ad and of course this is possibly the most important factor.
Of course there are always agencies! I know sometimes that can sound like a dirty word, and more and more agencies are becoming job boards themselves but this isn’t true of everyone.
