How to work as a pharmacist

Firstly, checking you are qualified to work as a pharmacist. Luckily if you are recognised as a Pharmacist in England then you are good to go!

If you’re not already registered with the GPhC, you’ll need to apply for registration. This typically involves providing proof of your qualifications and passing the necessary assessments. Visit the GPhC website for detailed information on the registration process.

Then we can start looking for job opportunities in Scotland. We already have a vast network of clients we work with but you can also search online job boards, company websites, or professional networks. Ensure that the position you apply for meets the visa requirements if you need a sponsored visa.

It does also always help to tailor your CV to the Scottish job market standards.

So… Why work as a Pharmacist in Scotland?

You already work as a pharmacist in England, what could possibly be different? It’s the same island after all.

Well, first of all you pay less tax than anywhere else in the UK and have the lowest average council tax. So more bang for your buck.

If you have children, free education and university and if they are a bit younger then free early learning and childcare.

Free prescriptions and lower waiting times.

Along with a VASTLY lower housing market.

Generally just better values with basic necessities like sanitary products absolutely free.

That’s just the benefits you get, Scotland has an incredibly unique landscape. Edinburgh alone you have a beautiful city that once a year has the best festival for theatre and comedy buffs in the world.

But 10 minutes down the road you have rich landscapes that can only be described as idyllic

There are also a tonne of job opportunities for people looking to move, opportunities with a relocation package to get you over there. You can’t say fairer than that.
